StrongBad victorious again!

StrongBad Our trip to RoboMaxx was great fun, and StrongBad did it again, winning first place in the Advanced Mini-Sumo competition! The GM6 gear motors did their job, rarely failing to give StrongBad the ability to power opponents out of the ring.

We also entered our Sumovore Sumo robot kit (officially available in a day or so), but after winning several matches, it had to go head-to-head with the 4WD StrongBad and lose. Still, our initial showing of the Sumovore went quite well.

It was good to see face-to-face a good many BEAM roboticists, and see what new innovations are coming out of the hobby robotics community. We're working on a gallery of pictures, so stay tuned...

Interesting stuff at the Exploratorium

Not exactly relevant to BEAM, but an interesting distraction: Here's some interesting media from the San Francisco Exploratorium. Notable media to watch is their "Iron Science Teacher" competition (familiar with "The Iron Chef? Same idea...), and their hosting of Robot Sumo Wrestling.
